A fifth-generation dairy farmer, Craig has spent his life immersed in agriculture. After earning a BS in Agriculture with a major in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University, Craig gained hands-on experience across various agricultural sectors.
A unique part of his journey includes learning cheese-making techniques in France, where he spent a summer working on a goat dairy. After graduation, Craig worked as a herdsman on a commercial dairy in Vermont and later became the Eastern Regional Manager for the Vermont Dairy Herd Improvement Association. His experience continued to grow as he coordinated a farm business management program at the North Country Career Center.
Returning to Oklahoma, Craig, alongside his parents, owned and operated a dairy farm and cheese plant. From conception to market, he understands the challenges of launching and sustaining agricultural ventures. The family also exhibited purebred cattle and competed in the prestigious World Forage Analysis Super Bowl. Unfortunately, due to his parents’ health issues, they had to close the dairy operation. Afterward, Craig transitioned into managing a small cow-calf and hay-making operation.
After a fulfilling 28-year career as the Information Technology Manager for the Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering Department at Oklahoma State University, Craig retired early to focus on building Better Farm Crops, dedicating his expertise to helping others thrive in agriculture.
