A third-generation agriculture professional, Phil Thurston has dedicated his career to various facets of the industry. He holds a BS in Agriculture with a major in Animal Science and developed his work ethic early, traveling on weekends, selling gun safes to help pay for college. Upon graduating, Phil worked for Carrol Foods in Virginia, managing swine production units.

Phil eventually returned to his home state of Oklahoma, where he took on roles as an Integrated Pest Management Specialist for the Oklahoma State University Extension System and as a Loan Officer at Oklahoma Farm Credit. He also coordinated a Farm Management Program at Gordon Cooper Votech, furthering his experience in agricultural education and business management.

Phil’s career also took him abroad, where he worked as an Agricultural Development Specialist in Southeast Asia. Since returning to Oklahoma, Phil has managed his family farm and operates Thurston Ag Services, LLC, offering agricultural spray services and land clearing solutions to farmers and landowners.
